So here’s something I threw together on wanting a series of guidelines to follow when I created new monsters. Just be careful using these monsters, make sure your players know what they’re getting into! Like rot grubs and gas spores, some of them might have a low challenge rating to suit their normal health and damage… the infection is very dangerous and can even bring low more powerful characters! I suggest a friendly exposition-telling NPC, or maybe watching someone fall prey to the crystals from a distance, so they understand the dangers they face.ĭarkest Dungeon The Farmstead Color of Madness Crystal Husk Farmhand Plow Horse Crystalline Aberration Thing from the Stars D&D D&D 5e Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual Dungeon Mastery Originally I just planned to do the Thing from the Stars, as it is easily the coolest monster to come out of the new Color of Madness DLC! But on creating it I realized I’d have to create the Crystalline Aberrations it spawns and from there I just decided to include a nice little selection of the new enemy type: Husks.Īlso this is D&D, so while in game the husks and crystals mostly hit you with a little blight damage… I took more inspiration from the lore surrounding them and being infested by crystals and turned into a husk is something you will have to fear! This was a fun one to make and surprisingly didn’t end up all that tricky to recreate in D&D type statistics! Consider it a late sort of celebration of Darkest Dungeon’s latest DLC, the Color of Madness! So I decided I had to make something with it to upload here, and I started with my favorite monster from Darkest Dungeon. (Dark Souls monsters will still use their own dark leather themed pages). Something to use for Bloodborne, Darkest Dungeon, Salt and Sanctuary, and the like.
